Kansas City, Kan. – They will be runnin` three wide at Kansas Speedway even before the green flag drops.
Access to Kansas Speedway`s infield is an unheard of three-lane tunnel that easily accommodates three Fleetwood motor homes side by side with room to spare. The tunnel is 36 feet wide by 19 feet high. It`s size guarantees motor homes will be moving in and out of Kansas Speedway faster than you can say, "Gentlemen, start your engines!"
"This is probably the biggest tunnel at any race track around," Kansas Speedway President Grant Lynch said. "We want those race fans to be able to get in and out of Kansas Speedway quickly."
The 300-foot-long vehicle tunnel enters the infield between turns three and four. Pedestrians can access the infield through a separate, 450-foot long tunnel in turn one.
"We`ve thought of everything for this speedway," Lynch added. "If you see it driving on the highway, it`ll fit in Kansas Speedways tunnel."
